Those who have studied the history of Systema know that those who have been properly trained are considered experts at knife work. My favorite tool is the knife. So, often I look at various military units and martial arts through this lens.
Sunday afternoon, I was surfing You Tube when I came upon a couple of videos about a particular Italian unit of WW 1 who helped to defeat the Austro-Hungarian Empire leading to Italy's victor but the end of the war as well. They did primarily with knives. Here's one of the videos. Enjoy.
